BROOKINS AME TO HOLD SUNRISE AND REGULAR SERVICES ON EASTER

Three worship services will be held Easter Sunday, April 8, at Brookins Community A.M.E. Church, located at 4831 South Gramercy Place in Los Angeles, announced Dr. Frederick O. Murph, senior minister.

"We invite everyone to celebrate Christ's resurrection with us at our 6am Sunrise Service and at our regular services at 8am and 11am. Easter is perfect for family and friends to rejoice together at the Lord's victory over death," said Dr. Murph. Citing other reasons to observe Easter, Dr. Murph added, "Jesus offers us a road map to victory and if we follow Him, our lives will be blessed. His resurrecting power can transform our way of living, but we must be available for the Lord to use us and be willing to step out on God’s word.”

“Believers and unbelievers alike are encouraged to join us on Easter Sunday to learn how to revive your life and experience spiritual renewal in the Lord,” he said.

In addition to Sunday services at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., Brookins holds Mid-Week Worship on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of its Community Development Center, located at the corner of 48th Street and Gramercy Place. Also, services are broadcast Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on KJLH 102.3 radio station and on the Internet at www.kjlhradio.com. Audiotapes are available for a $5 donation.
